Das Projekt
The planned wind farm on the Höhlerberg hill between Lich, Fernwald, and Pohlheim is a joint project between Koehler Renewable Energy and wind power project developer Qair Deutschland. The air pollution control permit for erecting and operating the wind turbines was issued for two Nordex N 163 turbines in March 2023. One of the turbines will be erected within the Lich area, while the other will be erected within the Fernwald municipality area.
Additional wind turbines for wind power priority area 4117 are currently in the preliminary planning stages (Helgenwald wind farm).
The wind farm is scheduled to go online by 2026.
