Das Projekt
The sites for the five wind turbines that make up the Höringhausen Wind Farm are located within priority areas KB39 and KB82 between Höringhausen and Freienhagen, in the Waldeck-Frankenberg district. The wind farm is a joint project between Koehler Renewable Energy GmbH and Munich-based Qair Deutschland GmbH.
After years of successful collaboration, the project got to a solid start in the winter of 2023/2024 with the permit issued by the Regional Council of Kassel in May 2022. The turbines, each with a nominal capacity of 6.2 MW and a total height of 247 meters, feed the electricity they generate into the grid via a transformer station specifically constructed for this purpose near Meineringhausen.
