Koehler Renewable Energy Appoints Dr. Philipp Hill to Management Board

Since 2012, Koehler Renewable Energy GmbH has been operating as a subsidiary of the Koehler Group and since that time has implemented numerous projects in the areas of cogeneration, wind power, photovoltaics, and hydropower. Koehler Renewable Energy has been represented with its own organization in the UK since September 2021, thus expanding its field of activity to other European countries.

One of Dr. Philipp Hill’s main priorities will be in further developing Koehler Renewable Energy to make it an independent power producer (IPP). The Koehler Group has set itself the goal of generating more energy from its own renewable sources by 2030 than is required for its paper production operations. Dr. Hill will push this group-wide strategy for decarbonization by further expanding the biomass division, which he will continue to lead.

In addition, Dr. Hill will further expand Koehler Renewable Energy’s sales focus. The plan is to implement energy system solutions for industrial companies that are looking to switch their energy supply over to renewable sources.
