Our power plants are part of a comprehensive portfolio that includes a total of six run-of-river hydroelectric plants. Investing in run-of-river hydroelectric plants aligns with our commitment to promoting sustainable and reliable energy sources that remain stable over long periods.
Run-of-river hydroelectric plants utilize the natural flow of rivers to generate electricity. A portion of the river water is directed through a water turbine. The turbine converts the potential energy of the water into mechanical rotational energy, which in turn drives a generator. In this way, the kinetic energy of the flowing water is transformed into mechanical and ultimately electrical energy.
A notable advantage of this technology is its reliability. Aside from seasonal fluctuations, run-of-river hydroelectric plants generate electricity very consistently and around the clock. This ensures a continuous and stable energy supply, which is essential for both households and industrial applications.
By investing in run-of-river hydroelectric plants, we are committing to a proven and environmentally friendly technology that helps reduce CO₂ emissions while ensuring a secure energy supply. We are proud to be part of this sustainable development and to actively contribute to the energy transition.
