Our Partners
We firmly believe that coal and nuclear power have had their day. We are therefore not satisfied with just supplying green power to our customers; instead, it is our mission to generate our power ourselves – here in Hamburg and the surrounding communities.
Anyone who chooses the eco-friendly electricity supply of HAMBURGER ENERGIEWERKE is also promoting the expansion of renewable energies in the local area. Day in, day out, we prove that it is still possible to generate green energy in a big city like Hamburg. This clear commitment to the regional climate and to environmental protection is even enshrined in our articles of association – so that Hamburg remains the most beautiful city in the world.
The partnership between Koehler Renewable Energy and Qair goes beyond the founding of Qair Deutschland GmbH: we have been working on joint projects since 2017 and can now look back on more than ten approved wind turbines in the forest, three large construction sites and a transformer station. We would like to thank the Qair team for their excellent cooperation and look forward to implementing further projects in Germany with this competent, experienced and powerful company.

Our mission is to contribute to the decarbonization of electricity and thus to climate protection with passion, competence, as well as with high-quality and innovative solutions. As an independent company headquartered in Munich, Germany, we are part of the Qair Group. Qair is an independent producer of renewable energy and focuses its business on the development, financing, construction and operation of projects in the fields of solar energy, onshore and offshore wind power, hydropower, tidal energy, waste-to-energy and for the production and storage of green hydrogen. Worldwide, Qair currently builds and operates a portfolio of more than 1 gigawatt and develops a pipeline of more than 30 gigawatts in 20 countries in Europe, Latin America and Africa with more than 600 employees. vento ludens GmbH & Co. KG is part of an owner-led group of companies with more than 750 employees. The group’s spectrum of operations ranges from the board game industry and logistics through to cutting-edge printing technology.
The Zollikofer Group was founded in Bad Wurzach in 1966 and has since developed into one of the largest suppliers in southern Germany for the processing as well as the trading and logistics of wood and wood products, in particular sawmill by-products and bark products, recycled wood and biomass for thermal and material recycling. Meanwhile, the Zollikofer Group is operating five locations in Germany with about 250 employees.
The Koehler Group acquired a 60% majority stake in the Zollikofer Group in July 2021. The acquisition was made as part of the strategic alignment to secure the fuel requirements of the company's own power plants on the one hand and to participate in the future growth of this business area on the other.

We are striving for continued growth in renewable energies in the years ahead. In tandem with various partners, our experienced team has already completed projects worth several hundred million euros over the past few years, with these projects generating more than 225,000 MWh of power, over 21,000 MWh of heat, and over 150,000 metric tons of steam every year (as of December 2018).
